Booking

  • We are available to assist you throughout the booking process and can be reached through various contact methods to cater to your requirements. Parking

  • On-site parking is available for approximately 85 vehicles with 1 designated disabled
    space located between the main courtyard entrance and the accessible ramp. To
    access the hotel parking, approach via Spittal Street and turn left after the hotel. Parking is available on Academy Road, in our central Courtyard and also in our overflow parking to the rear of the hotel. Please note that parking on hotel grounds is monitored by an external parking management company and permits are required. Guests should enter their vehicle registration number, along with the duration of their stay, on one of the touchpads located at either main reception, leisure club reception or in our conferencing corridor upon arrival in the car park to be issued with a temporary
    electronic parking permit.

Arrival

  • Our check in time is from 3.00pm but if you require to check in earlier our team will be happy to try and assist you. If you need any assistance on arrival our reception team will be happy to help you.

Entrances

  • Spittal Street – As the hotel is situated on a steep hill, our Spittal Street entrance to the
    hotel is only accessible by way of approximately 43 steps, alternatively there are 24 steps leading up to the elevator.
  • Main Entrance – The main courtyard entrance to the hotel is by way of 5 steps which
    lead to the reception area.
  • Accessible Entrance – The hotels main accessible entrance can be accessed via the
    courtyard and is located to the right of the main courtyard entrance. The buzzer at the bottom of the ramp will alert our reception team, who will be able to assist with access to the building.
  • Archway Entrances – Approaching from Academy Road, the entrance to the right under the archway is the only access point to our Leisure Club and is level with no steps. The entrance to the left under the archway provides access to the main hotel building via our conferencing and events facilities and is level with no steps.

ACCESS: Please note that access via our Spittal Street entrance and Archway entrances
is restricted between 7pm and 7am and guests are required to use their room keys to
gain access to the building via these entrances during this time, alternative access can
be gained by the main courtyard entrance. For security purposes, guests arriving
between 11pm and 6am would be required to use the buzzer at the main courtyard
entrance which will alert our nights team, who will be able to assist with access to the
building

Facilities

  • Guest facilities are located on the ground floor – the ladies toilets are located along the
    corridor from our main reception, by our conferencing facilities. The gents, accessible
    toilets and baby changing facilities are located further along the corridor to the left, by
    the Archway entrance to the hotel. All facilities are also available on our top floor at the
    far end of the corridor, by the rear exit from the restaurant.

Bedrooms

  • The hotel has 1 fully accessible bedroom, complete with full wet room, assistance pull
    cords and easy access to our main accessible exit/entrance. We also have 1 partially
    accessible room which has a shower over bath, assistance pull cords and easy access
    to our main accessible exit/entrance and one standard double/twin room which has a
    walk in shower without a bath. These rooms are subject to availability.
    Please note that the reception level and top floor rooms only are accessible by lift. Due
    to the layout of the building, bedrooms on our second floor are not accessible directly
    by lift and can only be accessed by way of ascending 18 steps from our reception level
    or descending 12 steps from our top floor.
    Please contact our reservations team if you require more assistance with accessibility
    when reserving your room.

Restaurants

  • Our Scholars restaurant and Headmasters Study bar & lounge are located on the top
    floor of the hotel which can be accessed via the main staircase at reception or by
    pressing ‘1’ in the lift from the reception level. Please note that there is no lift access to
    the bar and restaurant from our second floor bedrooms. From this level, the bar and
    restaurant can be accessed by ascending 12 steps to our top floor. The Scholars
    restaurant and Headmasters Study bar & lounge are all on one level and have access to
    guest facilities on the same level.
    Our external Courtyard Bar is located in the central courtyard of the hotel and is open
    seasonally. This can be easily accessed via all exits / entrances to the hotel excluding
    the Spittal Street entrance.

Meeting & events spaces

  • There are lifts available in the hotel which allow access to all our meeting and event spaces. Our meeting rooms are located on the ground floor of the hotel.

 

In addition, we allow guide dogs to the hotel.
